Tigers read. Tigers lead.

Library Mission

The mission of the Tuscany Heights Elementary School Library Media Program is to create a nurturing environment which ensures that 21st century students and staff are effective users of a variety of information resources and ideas that will enable them to be lifelong readers and learners.

Library Staff

Librarian    Jean Ann Johnson 1 full-time
Library Assistant Robbi Shipley 4 hours per day

The Tuscany Library has approximately 8  dedicated volunteers on a fixed schedule.  These committed volunteers assist with daily library tasks such as shelving and student-checkout.  Many other Tuscany parents, including Watch D.O.G.S., drop in throughout the day to help with library projects.   Furthermore, Tuscany has a dedicated PTA that supports author visits, book fair and other library programs.

Student leaders, known as Library Lifesavers, also support the Tuscany library program.  These enthusiastic students meet in the library each morning and afternoon.  They organize library shelves, prepare the library for the day's events and help keep the library neat and orderly.
