Author Visit

Author/illustrator, Jeff Mack, visited Castle Hills on May 6th. He is the creator of several picture books & early graphic novels. He has also illustrated award winning books, such as Eve Bunting’s HURRY! HURRY! Students enjoyed drawing characters along with Mr. Mack. Students, staff and parents enjoyed listening to his wonderful stories!

Nancy Clayton, an active Civil War researcher and genealogist, presented her Civil War Drum and Story program to our fourth and fifth graders on May 11th. She made history come alive with her stories about the young people in the Civil War! Along with her storytelling, she played a variety of drum cadences used during the War. We could have listened to her for hours!
