Author Visit

Jeff Mack, author of two of our 2013 Texas 2x2 books, will be visiting Castle Hills on May 6th. He is the creator of several picture books & early graphic novels. He has also illustrated award winning books, such as Eve Bunting’s HURRY! HURRY!

Mr. Mack will be autographing books during his visit. We will preorder books for signing. If you are interested in purchasing one or more of his books, please fill out form below and return to the library by Friday, April 10th. Books will only be ordered once so be sure to get the form back by the deadline. Thank you!

Reading Promotion (Waves of Pages)

With your help, your child has the opportunity to earn one free admission to Schlitterbahn Waterpark New Braunfels.  All they need to do is read 10 hours (600 minutes) during the program. You may read to your child, your child may read aloud to you or your child may read alone. Time spent reading for school assignments does not count toward the 10-hour goal. Record the number of minutes on the reading log along with the title of their reading material. Please be sure date and initial each entry to verify your child completed the reading sessions. Reading must be completed and returned to Castle Hills by April 23rd. Your child will be awarded a free admission to the waterpark as well as a special discount for your family. Admission tickets are valid April 25 through June 20, 2015 at Schlitterbahn Waterpark New Braufels only. Please contact Ms. Domangue if you have any questions.
