It is time to start thinking about summer reading. Studies show that students who don't read over the summer break loose as much as two reading levels. We will have summer check out again this year Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, June 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Parents must come with their child or children to fill out the responsibility slip and help them make appropriate choices. Check out the "Summer Reading" tab above for some great suggested titles.
Have you looked at the wide selection of ebooks our district has in Overdrive? If you have an electronic reading device you can access the collection and check out books. Students use their student ID #. If you are not a student we can register you with a number so you have access to these fabulous read as well. Stop by the library and let's get you started.
Wilderness Oak Elementary students have read more than 5,000,000 minutes! Way to go wolves!
There will also be a summer reading challenge.
Readers today, Leaders tomorrow!

Summer Reading Challenge
Here is the Summer Reading Challenge if it did not make it home. If you need the usernames and passwords feel free to email me and I will share them with you. I will not have access to your student's ID # so you will need to check Parent Portal for that information.
Also, your I-Station Password is only good through August 1st. You will get a new one when we return to school.
